This 1980s vintage evening top brings the drama in a big way. The body is done with curvy princess seaming, shoulders are seriously padded with padding extending underneath the pleating at the top of the long sleeves. The vee neck descends all the way to the waist, but there is an optional modesty panel that turns it into a two tone Jacket-with-shell illusion. The black peplum is lined in the red, adding a flirty edge, and the origami folds in front coordinate with the giant red rhinestone accented bow.

FABRIC/COLORS: Matte satin in scarlet red and black. The fabric is medium to heavier weight. The body of the jacket is lined in a lightweight acetate type fabric. The fabric content and care tags are missing. I think this is most likely synthetic, and I would recommend dry cleaning.

CLOSURES: The jacket closes with a hook & eye at the waist plus two hidden snaps under the bow on the wearer's left. The optional red insert is held in place with four hidden pairs of snaps on each side.
CONDITION: I have replaced hidden stitching that keeps the bow on the wearer's right side from drooping. No stains, holes, tears or other issues noted.
